I think that Raymond R. Wright is responsible for Katies death. He was the last person to be seen with her and no one saw him during the time she went missing. he had also been doing drugs the night she went missing so hid judgement was off. When he returned home he burnt his clothes. I don't see a need for that other than to hide evidence. All the clues point to him.
I feel like Mr. Dees had a lot of information about the kidnapping. The way the story was written was a little frustrating. When Mr. Dees was telling the story it was very interesting and just when I would get hooked the narrorater would change. That pushed me to keep reading to get back to mr. Dees and figure out what happend next.
